Chick mcnoodles

Hey everyone! Thanks for sticking with me through workouts...and no workouts.
I have been doing much better now that I haven't been broadcasting to all what I had "planned" on attaining and doing.  It seems to work much better that way.  Plus, we all falter at times and I think it's important not only that you see that, but that I can accept that myself and be ok with it.
On another note: After a 6 month seemingly dull period in my work life, everything is coming back together.  YAY! I did my 3 day guest appearance at the SabotenCon October 1-3rd and it was amazing.  I met some incredible people and my neighbor was an amazing individual by the name of David Doube.  David is the author of Dusk( http://www.duskcomics.com/) a dark Vampire comic that was VERY popular with the crowd.  I'm going to break into a story about Dusk Comics for a moment because it's important that I include this.
During the convention one of Davids artists, Jolene Houser (http://jolene-h.deviantart.com/) who was to accompany him at his table, got in a horrible car accident on the way to the convention.  We got so much support from the attendees and had a huge poster board signed with well wished and a card was passed around to the convention guests that was later taken to her in the hospital.  Fortunately, she was released from ICU that weekend and is recovering nicely.  David has decided to work with local talent to get a book together to help Jolene out with her insane medical bills.  I will make sure to keep you updated with any links so that you can check it out and show support.  Also, any artists that may want to contribute, please contact me and I will get you in touch with David.  Thank you all for your support.
Last week I received an email from a friend in the business.  She had cc'd me on a message that she sent to a director.  This director was looking for the lead in his short film 'Raindrops' and couldn't find the right fit.  Shortly thereafter, I received an email from the director and we set up a meeting.  After meeting with him and chatting for about 3 hours, I am proud to say that I will be playing the lead in the film.  There are some other great actors involved as well and we start filming in November.  We are going to be filming up north, probably in the Sedona area.  I am excited because I have only been there 1 or 2ce years ago with my family and never for an extended period of time.  I look forward to working working with this crew and sharing pictures and updates with you.
I also want to let you know that I am now going to be working with Comic Book Divas http://comicbookdivas.com/ as a core member.  That means that you will see me at even MORE conventions, sporting their shirts and helping to promote their comics and comics that I have a character in as well.   I have 2 different comics coming out in February so if you see me at the conventions make sure to stop by and get a book or some prints.

Also, I have been informed that the Western X spin off in which I play the lead will start filming and producing promo within the next 2 weeks. Western X, by the way, was accepted to the Beverly Hills Film and new media festival and will be showing on October 24th! http://www.bhfilmtvnewmedia.com/
Too stay up to date with the spin off western/action series go to http://asixgunforlobo.com/  You can also follow the show and get updates and behind the scenes pics by following them on twitter: http://twitter.com/ASixGunForLobo

mmmkay

So, I've heard this before and I don't know why I thought I was above it.  If you talk about your goals, your body and mind think you have already achieved them.  It is the most certain way to fail.
Well, my friends, I do NOT want to admit it but I will....I did NOT go the 30 days that I had set out to do.
I am ashamed and upset.  This is something that I really wanted to do.  Obviously I didn't want it enough because I did not stick with it.  I have decided, instead to set my goals but keep them to myself.  The good thing is that I will strive -- WEEKLY to post pictures.  That way, whether I succeed of fail by my own goals, you will see where I currently am.  I have a lot of pictures to motivate myself....now.....just to meet those.
So-- lets set a day-- what day/time are you most likely to check my blog?  I will pick the favorite and every week I will take and post pictures of my progress.
I have a lot of convention appearances and a few films in the VERY near future so I need this....
Western X premiered in Sacramento this past month and was very well received.  I need to get in VERY good shape for the spin off 'A Six Gun For Lobo" which I should start training for in a few weeks.
I play Alexis Lynch and I will eventually kick serious ass.... who can help keep me motivated?
This is the latest picture of me......  I need to get in even better shape.
This is what I aspire to look like:

By the way-- I want to make sure that you all know I get most of my work outs from bodyrock.tv.  Zuzana is amazing and I am so excited that there is a place that I can go online to get great workouts for free and see a hot, VERY in shape chick to keep me motivated.

Day 3

Alright! Day 3 is coming to an end and I have been doing ok.  Not incredible, but way better than nothing.  On Day 1 I did some arm exercises.  I had trouble sleeping that night and only dozed from 5 am until about 7 am.  ***Note to self- turn phone on silent- especially if you are having trouble sleeping. Emails WILL wake  you up after you FINALLY fall asleep. *****
As for my "diet", I have been keeping to home made meals, fruits and veggies.  Yesterday I made homemade chicken noodle soup.  I got 3 lbs of boneless, skinless chicken from a farmers market, used fresh carrots, broccoli, lots of fresh garlic, fresh mushrooms, low sodium chicken broth and an onion.  I love seasonings and after hours of simmering and a night of setting in oregano, bay leaves, parsley flakes etc, it is PERFECT for lunch or dinner.
If you have a farmers market, I suggest going and grabbing fresh fruits and vegetables.  Farmers markets, rather than a chain grocery store, or even Whole Foods, will have a great variety of fresh and healthy foods at an extremely affordable price.  Example? I got all of this:

This only cost me about 10.00.  You won't always find awesome deals, but check your weekly ads, or even go online and you can find where to get the best prices weekly.  Also, you don't need to buy organic. Organic isn't necessarily better.  Also, don't be afraid of FATS.  I know it's scary, especially when you
are working on keeping your weight down, but there are different types of fats.  Cheese, dairy, nuts: these are all fine.  All of these are natural and your body knows how to process them.  Remember, you need fat to live.  That doesn't mean to only eat meat and cheese, or that can't eat too much.  It's foods like sugary cereal, desserts, your favorite coffee with all of that chocolate of caramel.... that will pack on the pounds.  Keep everything in moderation.
This 30 day challenge is not a way I am planning on living my life.  It is just that, a challenge.  I want to see if I can get a little more lean and also, want to see if I can do it mentally.
As for motivation, I have a picture hanging by a mirror that I like to look at for inspiration.
As for working out, on day one I did some arm work.  Day 2, since I had only managed 2 hours of sleep, I took it easy and didn't do a workout.  However, today I did a circuit.  I also got warm up out of the way by putting on some house music (I like stuff like Daft Punk and John B) and moving while doing house work.
I would rather workout at home than at a gym and make use of the little space.

I use my living room which is plenty.
Here are my day 3 (night 3) pictures.  I have dropped a little water weight.  I can't wait to see how much of a difference I  can see after it's all done!

My Challenge

As some of you may heave read on twitter or my facebook, I am  starting a 30 day challenge.  During the next 30 days I will not have any sugar, junk food or alcohol.  Well, I will do my best not to.  This is going to take a LOT of self control and sharing my progress with you will help me stick with it.  I will make sure to update much more often than I have been, as I want you to see the progress.  It will also help me keep track of measurements and such.
I am going to start off telling you what prompted this.  Being the official spokesperson for the Phoenix Comicon this year, and knowing that at the end of May I was going to be hanging out, promoting and interviewing some of the biggest guests of the convention, I needed to be in great shape.  I was doing news interviews, being filmed and photographed daily and walking around the convention center in front of around 15,000 guests.  I started working out and cutting back on breads, snacking and alcohol and exercising a lot and was happy with my progress.  By the end of May, I was confident with myself.  However, after an INTENSE 4 day convention, I was exhaused and spent the next 3 days resting and laying around relaxing.  I wanted a little break.  I didn't have any upcoming projects so didn't need to push myself as hard.  Fast forward to the beginning of August......
I took a month and spent some time helping out my family.  During this time I still worked, but it was mostly web stuff and no actual filming.  The only working out I did was indoors on projects, such as cleaning, painting and various odds and ends.  I didn't have anything important so I would enjoy a few drinks.  Unfortunately, I found da beer that I like (St. Paulie's girl) and for the first time in 3 years started drinking beer instead of my normal champagne.  In just 8 weeks I went up 6 lbs.  That's the most I've gained in over 3 and a half years.  It's true.  Beer makes you fat.  SO-- knowing that at the beginning of November I will start stunt training for the Western X (http://www.westernxtheshow.com/) spin off, I know that I need to kick myself back into gear.  It's so EASY to be lazy and enjoy desserts, junk food and a few drinks.  No challenge in that at all.
Today was day one and here are my starting measurements: (remember, I am short and naturally tiny, but that doe NOT mean that I am toned or even in good shape.  You have to work hard for that.  The challenge is what makes it that much more rewarding)

Chest (under bust, exhale)-- 27"
Waist- (smallest part of torso)-- 23.5"
Hips- (at hip bones)-- 31.5"
lower waist- (around largest part of butt)-- 35 1/4"

My goals? To be able to kick ass on the series, during training and to tighten up!! To get back to the weight that I was at for the Phoenix Comicon and to keep it down.
I like to work on my muscles and use body weight for a lot of the circuits that I do rather than just focusing on cardio.
If you have, are or are planning on starting any kind of program don't be afraid to share your stories.  I will offer support as well! I hope you enjoy following my on this challenge.  It's going to be difficult but fun!

I'm Brian Fellows

It's already September! Happy Labor Day!! I hope that all of you had a great holiday weekend.  I got a surprise visit from one of my best friends and got to spend every night hanging out with her! We played apples to apples, went to a going away "party" (after I'd spend the whole day sick in bed-- yuck!) and hung out with friends.

I got a little artsy and framed a few pictures.  One was for my 3 year anniversary, I got a Bachalo double splash page MONTHS ago as a surprise.  I wasn't about to get it framed because I knew I could save TONS of money and do it myself.  I got a frame, sanded it, painted it and then got matting.  The hardest part was making sure that all measurements for the matting were exact and that all of the lines were straight.  It took FOREVER but I LOVE how it turned out...

I started with maroon on top of the freshly sanded frame.... the black top coat that I added was supposed to add a deep crackle effect.  It didn't work.  Oh well.

Here are the paints. Just turn your head!
Bachalo piece. BEAUTY.
This is the first mat.  I had to then measure the mat, piece of art, frame and large maroon mat.  What is exactly in the middle? How far over do I have to start the opening? How much black do I want to show through? It's more difficult than it looks.

Tadaa!!  All done!
I'll be doing promo shoots for A Six Gun for Lobo this week as well and then on September 24th I am heading to LA and then the SAC Horror convention for the premiere of Western X! http://www.sachorror.com/
The following weekend, October 1-3rd, I will be appearing as a guest of the Saboten Anime Convention in Scottsdale Arizona and will be hosting some panels as well.  I'll have lots of goodies at my table so make sure to stop by! http://www.sabotencon.com/

Announcement

I am happy to announce that I have been cast in the comic Ginger Stein: Rise of the Undead !!  I will be drawn by the talented Dennis Willman and will be an Undead Barker Beauty.  This is going to be such an incredible character to portray.  I can't wait until you see what Dennis does with the art and Jeff Huges does with the story.
Just a little background on how the characters are done... first, you should check out the Comic Book Divas website where many characters can be seen-- http://www.comicbookdivas.com/ or FB http://www.facebook.com/pages/Comic-Book-Divas/161533767436?ref=ts&v=wall .  The way that Dennis will be doing my character is by having me actually model and act in the character poses, positions and live action shots... so it's not just my face you're seeing.  This is a FUN project.  He then incorporates many different artistic techniques to transform the pieces into his own.  I will be doing a more in depth write up on Comic Book Divas, Jeff Huges and Dennis Willman next month on http://www.comicbooked.com/
Here is the link for the Ginger Stein: Rise of the Undead casting release....  I am so proud to be included in this project. http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=150225114987905&id=100000279582543&ref=mf

news-a-rama

Hi again... yeah, the last post and this one are very close together.  Deal with it! More to read anyways ^_^
Shelf Life Weekly caught up with me during the first day of the Comicon and did a very short interview.  I didn't have much time to chat with them outside of this interview as we were all rushing around but they were very nice men and I thank them for their time.

Phoenix Comicon 2010 Shelf Life Weekly Volume 2 from Shelf Life Weekly on Vimeo.

Now.... I just got a cool piece of news....  although there are no set plans for anything ........yet- I still want to share something awesome with all of you.  This is a teaser onesheet from the producer of Western X.

I don't have many details on this yet but what I CAN tell you is that you will be seeing a lot more of me and really get an in depth look at these characters.  That means of course, an opportunity for you to watch this character develop in a short amount of time.  This is not a movie, just a short side story. I am very hopeful and excited.  As I know more I will share.

I have also joined with the AZ Avengers.  I will be portraying both X-23 and Pepper Pots, depending on what character is needed.  This organization dresses like the Avengers and then does promo work while also focusing on charity work.  We will be visiting hospitals, nursing homes etc. in order to bring smiles and love.  You can visit and join the facebook page here: http://www.facebook.com/ArizonaAvengers?ref=ts

Remember, I will be at SAC Horror in September in California, the Saboten-con October 1-3rd in Arizona and the Tucson Comicon November 6th in Tucson Arizona.

Also-- WHO'S WATCHING THE WORLD CUP?!?!?!  What do you think so far???

Down time

With the Phoenix Comicon have been over for a few weeks, I have had plenty of time to rest and *****BREATHE*****

I slept the majority of the 3 days following con. I was exhausted. I have since been working on some art...if you can call it that.

I made a low fat chocolate cheeesecake, have cooked some delicious meals, had a few days to spend and catch up with friends and even had time to clean and dust the house. Oh the little things.
As promised, there are many more photos from the comicon that I have posted here for you, along with the interview with No Big Deal. No Big Deal is 1 of the bands that played during the Kids Need To Read Geek Prom. Wil Wheaton, John Scalzi and Felicia Day were all there to host, so these kids definately had a great opportunity to play for a sold out event.
I am going to be finishing the 2nd part of Pen Addiction this week. I have the script and we start fillming this Sunday. I also have some good news about convention apprances! October 1-3rd I will have a table at the Saboten-con in Arizona. It is a 3 day Anime convention and I will be selling posters, t-shirts and lithos from Comic Book Divas "A Life Behind the Mask" web comic. I will also have screen shot lithos and other items from Western X, the Sci-Fi series that I have been cast in. One way or another, I will be participating in the Tucson Comic-con as well on November 6th so now you have 2 other opportunities to come and say hi!

This is Bill and Ben from with their art.  You can go to http://www.skulljammer.com/ for more information and awesome art.

This is Anya (left) seamstress, myself as Queen Redd and Vaness Allen body artist. Two wonderful members that were part of my amazing team!

This is me with the band No Big deal after their interview. That's right, puff out those chests!

I'll post more later! What costume was your favorite??

Phoenix comicon 2010!

WHEW!!  It's come and it's gone and I survived! Can you believe it?
I ran around like crazy with a wonderful team that consisted of a great group of people! They were so great, in fact, that I will start by thanking them.  First of all, all filming was done by the talented group from Minus Mitchell films.  They do not specialize in events or documentaries, by shorts, commercials and other productions. Make sure to take a look at their award winning films (seriously, they've won more awards than I can keep track of- including Best Comedy at the Phoenix Comicon) . http://minusmitchell.com/Minus_Mitchell/home.html
Also with me was my assistant/handler Kayla who was a God send, to say the least.  I don't know what I would have done without her. Best EVER. I had photographer Aaron from Skewed iris photography http://www.facebook.com/pages/Skewed-Iris-Photography/80935783756 .
Vanessa of Visualize Creativity who did my body art, http://www.facebook.com/pages/Skewed-Iris-Photography/80935783756#!/visualizecreativity?ref=ts , Stephanie who was my makeup artist http://www.stephanienault.com/ and seamstress Anya Taylor.  I also had clothing provided for me each day by Evermore Nevermore.
It was a bit hectic with a large crew but everyone was such a big help.
The weekend started off with me in x-23.  I did a news interview for Fox and then got a few interviews in.

On Friday, I was up and back to the Phoenix convention center for a news interview and then stopped in to 106.7 to do some promoting with the radio station.  I wore a dress provided by Evermore Nevermore which was created by local artists throughout the beginning of the day.
http://www.arizonafoothillsmagazine.com/photo-gallery.html?func=detail&id=37161
That link is to the dress :)
I spoke with Brian and Kristy from Hi Fi Designs about their work, panels and all of the work they do for all of the major companies like Image, Dc, Disney, Pixar, etc.
I also got to speak and interview artist Shannon Denton.  I changed into the Blind Mag outfit that was made by Anya and Stephanie did my makeup.  I got to then interview John Schneider, Daniel Logan and the wonderfully talented and adorable Felicia Day.  I also will have the Raven Gregory, John Layman and Ebas
interviews for you as well. The outfit was amazing and I was very excited play The bling mag.  I sat with Slice of Sci Fi for an hour during their panel.
By the time the panel was over, the corset was digging into my sides so badly that I was about to go crazy.  Why does the boning in corsets always dig 'in"?? Unfortunately, because of this, I missed the events at the Hyatt and didn't get to show off the awesome outfit from Evermore Nevermore:

Saturday was a lot less productive on the interview end as we went through some issues.  It's a little impossible to go without any problems.  I think that 2 interviews got completed that day.  Mike DeBalfo was one of those, fortunately and we got to speak about his new cover art.  He had some wonderful Phoenix exclusives.  I have to tell you that the work he has been doing is so amazing and I am so grateful to know him and get to work with him on occasion.
All the pictures were taken by a photographer provided by Minus Mitchell and by Skewed Iris Photography.  They will be posted in http://www.phoenixcomicon.com/ on June 8th and then I will post them here on my blog and facebook.  Until then, here are some pics from the shenanigans that went on after everything was over with me, my man and Ebas.

Needless to say, we played in the water.
Who went to the comicon and what was your favoite part??  Did you get to meet Stan Lee? Todd McFarlane? Another favorite?

busy bee... bzzzzzz

Good morning! or, afternoon, or night.....
How have you all been? Had an exciting week so far?
On Monday I worked with AZ Bay Pictures on a new film they shot called "The Cut Up." This is a short film and I didn't do any acting in it, instead, I was the assistant Makeup artist.  Unfortunately I couldn't stay the entire shooting day because of Phoenix Comicon obligations. but I got to work with some of my favorite people in the industry. And I also got to scare the hell out of one of the directors by showing him how- although Im teeny-- I could knock his head off with my high kick.  You don't see it coming-- and then

POW!!

It was pretty funny.  On Tuesday I did a makeup test with Vanessa Allen of Visualize Creativity http://www.facebook.com/visualizecreativity?ref=mf and wardrobe with seamstress/designer Anya Taylor. I missed my workout AND ab ripper yesterday which was a bummer and today with me running around and getting in full wardrobe for my interview I missed my workout and ab ripper x completely!!
Today, all the running around was for an interview that I did on behalf of the Phoenix Comicon. Raising Arizona Kids http://www.raisingarizonakids.com/ and news channel 12 did a segment on the comicon.  Since I am the spokesperson, I decided it would be fun to show up as one of the characters I will be at the actual convention.  I went over events that will be going on at the convention.  Go to http://www.phoenixcomicon.com/ and order your tickets in advance to save $5.00 and make sure to check out the programming--and my interviews that are posted on the blog.
Skewed Iris Photography and my makeup artist Stephanie Nault spent the morning with me and helped complete the look that you will see in the posted pics.
The interview will air Monday, may 24th at 5pm and then will be on http://www.raisingarizonakids.com/ on Tuesday.  Make sure to watch for me and tell me what you think!!
Here are some pictures, these are before and after.  You'll see how this went from a super simple starter outfit to an amazing masterpiece.  My team is the best :)
